Light a Candle

Light a candle of peace in this world.
Let it illumine the darkness.
Light a candle of peace in this world,
Let it transform me today.
Extinguish all my false hopes and desires.
Grant me the vision to see,
All the evil that I have wrought,
To make what should not be.
Grant me the peace that is yours.
I ask you Lord now in prayer.
So that I might have the strength to shine,
In a world full of doubt and despair.
Lord of the light and Lord of the darkness,
Lord you have power over all.
Lord I beseech you to give me your light,
So that I might fulfill your call.
